Sequoia Union Elementary School District was notified this week that our Waiver to reopen school was approved by the Tulare County Department of Health and the State of California. We will reopen in Cohorts of A and B the week of Monday, October 26th. Cohort A is Monday and Thursday, and Cohort B is Tuesday and Friday. Students will continue to do Distance Learning on the days they are not on campus, and all students do Distance Learning on Wednesday’s. We have called parents to let them know which Cohort their student(s) have been placed on. We kept siblings on the same Cohort. We also asked families if they needed transportation. It is the direction of the School Board that we reopen in Cohorts and then transition to full on-campus learning as soon as possible, while continuing to offer Distance Learning for students whose families elect to keep their student(s) on Distance Learning. As soon as we have any updates on our next steps after we reopen under Cohorts, I will be notifying families. Thank you for your continued support of our school and our efforts to reopen our campus.
